CRY318 Ear simulator/coupler

An ear simulator/coupler is a device that simulates the physical characteristics of the human ear. It includes a microphone and an acoustic network with a structure similar to the acoustic characteristics of the human external ear. It is used to make quantitative and qualitative evaluations of the performance of headphone equipment.

Compliant with IEC 60318-1, similar to the acoustic impedance of human ears

CRY318 Ear Simulator is a type of human ear simulator that simulates the average human ear impedance. When coupled to a sound source, an acoustic impedance load similar to human ears can be loaded onto the sound source.

With IEC 60318-1-compliant standard design, 1/2” pressure field measurement microphone (CRY372), and preamplifier (CRY508), the CRY318 Ear Simulator is connected to CRY series testers and is mainly used to test telephone receivers, headsets, and plug-in headphones, etc.
